Wilmington University will be looking for a new Women’s Lacrosse coach as Jackie Trainer announced her resignation as head coach of the program, Monday.
Trainer is taking her talents to Kutztown University to be their head coach of their Women’s Lacrosse program.
Kutztown is looking for Trainer to bring some success their way as in their 2016 season they went 7-10 and 3-9 in the Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference.
The former WilmU head coach went 40-62 in six seasons as the head coach and went 29-30 in CACC play.
Trainer reached the CACC Tournament four times and went to the CACC Tournament Semifinals twice in her career which was in 2012 and 2015.
In 2012 which was Trainer’s first year at Wilmington, she earned the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year for leading the team to a 9-8 record and a 6-6 in conference play and reaching the CACC Tournament Semifinals in her first year.
Before Trainer took over as the head coach of the Women’s Lacrosse program in 2012, she was an assistant coach for two seasons with the team.
