The Wilmington University softball is heading to the double-elimination portion of the CACC Tournament thanks to a 2-0 victory over Holy Family University Tigers on Saturday. The team will host Bloomfield in the first game on May 2nd.

Wilmington University takes home a 2-0 win!
The Wildcats would strike first in this CACC tourney game as Junior outfielder Tristyn Stewart scored on a fielding error by Holy Family’s third baseman to give her team a 1-0 edge.
WilmU would add another run to their lead in the sixth inning when Junior outfielder Gabriella Saucedo slugged a solo home run to left field to push the score to 2-0.
Pitching Recap:
Junior starting pitcher Kylee Gunkel brought her best stuff for the Cats’ opening game of the CACC Tournament as she went seven innings, gave up three hits, and struck out ten batters in a win.
