The Wilmington University men’s soccer team earned its ninth win of the season on Wednesday with a dominating 7-2 victory over the Chestnut Hill College Griffins.

The Wildcats did not have any problems scoring in the opening half of this match, as they headed to halftime with a 4-0 lead.
WilmU graduate student Theo Faillon started the scoring in this game as he found the back of the net at the 17:14 minute mark. Freshman midfielder Jacques Mason assisted on Faillon’s goal.
Seconds later, Senior midfielder Alex Tarway would give the Cats a 2-0 lead when he found the net. Mason also assisted with this goal.
A little more than six minutes later, Sophomore forward Jhamaleek Porter scored back-to-back goals to give his team a 4-0 lead at the end of the first half. Freshman defender Isaak Simic assisted on Porter’s first score. Faillon and Tarway assisted on his second goal during that time.
WilmU outscored Chestnut Hill 16-4 in the opening half of this game.
The Wildcats take home a 7-2 win!
The scoring didn’t stop for Wilmington as Senior midfielder Shuntaro Morimoto blasted the ball in the net at the 49:52 minute mark to give his team a 5-0 advantage. Theo Faillon assisted on Morimoto’s score.
A couple of minutes later, sophomore forward Michiharu Takanashi found the net to push the Cats to a 6-0 edge. Alex Tarway assisted on the score.
Redshirt freshman midfielder Jiung Ha joined the scoring party at the 55:40 minute mark to put WilmU up 7-0. Faillon assisted on the goal.
Chestnut Hill would score two late goals, but Wilmington still went home with a 7-2 victory.

The standouts in the game for the Wildcats were Theo Faillon, Alex Tarway, Jacques Mason, Jiung Ha, Jhamaleek Porter, Isaak Simic, Shuntaro Morimoto, Michiharu Takanashi, freshman goalkeeper Will Kiers, and freshman goalkeeper Emil Lollike.
Faillon had five shots, one shot at the goal, scored one goal, and had three assists in the win.
Tarway had two shots, one shot at the goal, scored one goal, and had two assists in the victory.
Mason had two assists in the win.
Ha had one shot, one shot at the goal, and scored one goal in the game.
Porter had three shots, three shots at the goal, and scored two goals in the match.
Simic had one shot and one assist in the game.
Morimoto had two shots, one shot at the goal, and scored one goal in the win.
Takanashi had five shots, two shots at the goal, and scored one goal in the game.
Kiers allowed two goals and had three saves in 33:46 minutes in the match.
Lollike, allowed zero goals in 56:14 minutes in the win.
