The Wilmington University softball team is moving on after defeating the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen 4-2 in the first round of the NCAA Division II East Region 2 Tournament.

Wilmington University takes home a 4-2 win!
Southern New Hampshire would take the early lead in this game by hitting an RBI double and triple in the second inning to grab a 2-0 edge.
Fast forward to the fourth inning when the Cats tied the game at two with Freshman utility player Sydney Hatch and freshman pitcher/outfielder Maddie Vollmar each hitting an RBI double.
Freshman Gracie Mabrey smoked a two-run single through the right side in the fifth inning to give WilmU a 4-2 lead.
Pitching Recap:
Graduate student pitcher Delani Sheehan earned the win by going six innings, giving up five hits, one walk, and striking out five.
