The Wilmington University softball team took home a hard-fought 1-0 win in 12 innings versus the Holy Family University Tigers in the first round of the CACC tournament.

Wilmington University takes home a 1-0 win!
The pitching for the Tigers and Wildcats dominated this game for 11 innings, stifling hitters and only giving up a combined 14 hits and zero runs.
Freshman pitcher/outfielder Maddie Vollmar would give WilmU the game-winning score in the bottom of the 12th inning when she pushed in a run with a Sac Fly to seal a 1-0 victory.
Pitching Recap:
Senior pitcher Kylee Gunkel dominated the game, pitching ten innings, giving up four hits, striking out nine, and earning the win.
Graduate student pitcher Delani Sheehan went two innings, gave up three hits, and struck out two batters.
