The Wilmington University baseball team earned a sweep on Monday versus the Lincoln University (PA) Lions. WilmU won the first game 14-0 and took home the victory in the second match 4-3.

Game Recap GM1:
Wilmington University leads by six runs at the end of the fifth inning.
The Wildcats struck first in this game, with senior outfielder Kory Pritchard and Graduate student first baseman JJ Killen each hitting an RBI single in the bottom of the opening inning to give their team a 2-0 edge.
Two innings later, Sophomore outfielder/pitcher Brandon Grygo scored on an error, and Senior infielder Tristan Schoendienst pushed in a run with a single to give WilmU a 4-0 lead.
Grygo would strike again at the bottom of the fourth when he smacked an RBI double to center field to extend the Cats’ advantage to five.
JJ Killen would blast a solo homer to left-center to expand Wilmington’s lead to 6-0.
The Wildcats take home a 14-0 win!
WilmU cushioned their advantage even more in the sixth by scoring eight runs on two hits and one error to seal a 14-0 victory.
The Cats scored four runs in the inning off of wild pitches.
Pitching Recap:
Wilmington University used three pitchers in the game, including junior pitcher Steve Schenning, who pitched three innings, gave up one hit, struck out two, and earned the win.
Game Recap GM 2:
Wilmington University leads by three runs at the end of the fifth inning.
After three innings of silence on the scoreboard from both teams, the Cats made some noise in the bottom of the fourth.
Redshirt junior outfielder Cam Trego would push in the first run of the game with a Sac Fly in the fourth inning to give WilmU a 1-0 edge.
In the bottom of the fifth, Wilmington expanded their lead to three with two Sac Flys in the inning.
The Wildcats take home a 4-3 win!
Fast forward to the top of the seventh inning, where Lincoln clawed their way back by tying the game up at three.
WilmU struck back in the bottom of the inning, as Junior infielder Tyler Pirrung ended the game with a walk-off single down the left field line to give his team a 4-3 victory.

Wilmington University used three pitchers in the game, including Senior pitcher Dom Marotta, who pitched one inning, gave up three hits, three runs, two earned runs, one walk, and earned the win.
