Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the University of Delaware women’s basketball teamas the spotlight turns to the senior guard Rebecca Demeke.

Demeke was third on the team in scoring this season, with 10.7 points per game.

The Toronto, Canada native was one of the go-to scorers for the Blue Hens this year, recording double-digits in points in 19 games. Demeke also netted two games this season, posting over 20 points.

The UD senior scored her season-high in points in a 62-54 win over Northeastern on February 2nd, where she scored 24 points. Demeke made eight of her 16 shots, hit three of nine tries from the three-point line, and nailed five of eight free throws.

Another highlight performance for the Blue Hens guard came in a 73-26 win over Delaware State on December 7th, where she recorded 21 points. Demeke eight of her 17 shots, and nailed five of 12 shots from the three-point line.

The Delaware senior averaged 10.7 points per game, 2.3 rebounds per game, and 0.9 assists in 28 games.
