Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the University of Delaware men’s basketball team as the spotlight turns to Graduate student guard Erik Timko.
Timko was fifth on the team in scoring this season, with 11.3 points per game.
The UD guard was always in the right place this season if his team needed a score, recording double-digits in points in 21 games. He also had two games where he scored over 20 points.
The Pennsylvania native scored his season-high in points in the 92-75 win over Misericordia Cougars on December 20th, where Timko had 29 points. He made eight of his 11 shots, six of nine attempts from the three-point line, and seven free throws.
Timko wasn’t just a consistent scorer this season; he also regularly grabbed the boards. The Delaware guard recorded two double-doubles and had three games with double-digit rebounds this year.
The Graduate student was third on the team in rebounds per game with 4.4.
Timko averaged 11.3 points per game, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 35 games.
