The Goldey-Beacom College baseball team swept the Holy Family Tigers University on Sunday with a 12-6 win in the first game and a 3-0 victory in the second. The Lightning has now won 15 games in a row.

Game Recap GM1:
Goldey-Beacom leads by four runs at the end of the fourth inning.
The Lightning lit up the scoreboard first in this game, with Senior infielder Jaden Dickerson hitting an RBI double to left center in the bottom of the opening inning.
In the next inning, Dickerson recorded his fourth RBI of the game when he smoked a three-run homer to left field to give his team a 4-0 lead.
Holy Family would score their first run of the game in the top of the third inning, getting home on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to 4-1.
Senior outfielder Christian Petrillo pushed the Bolts edge to four runs (5-1) when he scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the fourth.
The Lightning leads by five runs at the end of the six innings.
The Tigers would claw closer to the lead after scoring on a wild pitch in the fifth and then on a single in the sixth to cut the deficit to two runs (5-3).
In the bottom of the sixth, GBC responded by scoring three runs on three hits to take an 8-3 advantage.
Jaden Dickerson recorded his fifth RBI of the game in the inning when he hit a lead-off solo homer to left field.
Five plays later, Senior catcher Adam McEvoy slapped an RBI single to right field.
Senior infielder Dante DiSabatino came up to the plate next, and he hit an RBI double to right center to give the Bolts an 8-3 lead.
Goldey-Beacom takes home a 12-6 win!
The Tigers gained another run back in the top of the seventh by scoring on a wild pitch to slice the deficit to 8-4.
In the bottom of the inning, the Lightning would add to their lead when Junior outfielder Anthony Charles scored on a wild pitch to extend their advantage to 9-4.
Sophomore infielder Bobby Stewart blew the game wide open when he slugged a three-run homer to right center to give Goldey-Beacom a 12-4 edge.
Holy Family scored two runs in the top of the ninth, but the Lightning would still take home a 12-6 win.
Pitching Recap:
Goldey-Beacom used three pitchers in the game, including junior pitcher Connor Blence, who pitched 5.2 innings, gave up five hits, three runs, three earned runs, two walks, struck out eight, and earned the win.

The Lightning struck first in this game, scoring three runs on four hits to take a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning.
Jaden Dickerson continued his hot day by hitting a two-run single to left field.
Two plays later, senior infielder Braden Kolmansberger slapped an RBI double down the left-field line to push his team’s edge to 3-0.
Pitching would do the rest as they only gave up one hit for the next four innings to seal a 3-0.

Senior pitcher Ryan Pozo went six innings, gave up four hits, and one walk, struck out four, hit two batters, and earned the win.
Senior pitcher Gage Bendix went one inning and earned the save.
