On Saturday, the Goldey-Beacom College softball team earned a split versus the Georgian Court University Lions on Tuesday. The Lightning lost the first game 9-1 and won the second match 4-3.

Goldey-Beacom trails by two runs after the fourth inning.
Both teams’ pitching was strong early in this match, allowing only two hits and zeros in the through three innings.
Georgian Court would light up the scoreboard first in this game by scoring three runs in the top of the fourth inning.
The Lightning cut into the lead in the bottom of the inning when Senior pitcher Wynter Radcliffe pushed home a run with a Sac Fly to take the score to 3-1.
The Lightning takes home a 4-3 win!
Fast forward to the bottom of the seventh inning, where Goldey-Beacom was down to their last three outs of the game to try to pick up a win.
The first run of the inning came when Freshman Utility player Ryann Soltis pushed home a run when she reached first base on a walk to tie the score at three.
Two plays later, Senior infielder Bryn Bohmann walked to the plate and hit a two-out, walk-off winning, two-run single to right center to give GBC a 4-3 victory.
Pitching Recap:
Senior pitcher Morgan McLane went seven innings, gave up seven hits, three runs, three earned runs, two walks, struck out four, and earned the win.
