Powell was second on the team in scoring with 12 points per game this season.
The Goldey-Beacom guard was a reliable target for the team on offense, recording double-digits in 20 games this year. He also netted two games where he posted over 20 points.
Powell’s game-high in points this season came on December 12th in a 78-68 win over Franklin Pierce, where he recorded 22 points. He made five of his eight shots, drained three out of four tries from the three-point line, and hit nine of his 11 free throws.
One of his best shooting performances of the season came on December 18th versus Molloy, where the freshman had 18 points. He made seven of his nine shots, nailed three of his five attempts from the three-point line, and hit one free-throw.
The New Jersey native might have scored a lot this season, but he also knew when to find his teammates for a bucket, as the Lightning guard was second on the team in assists per game with 2.3.
He also had quick hands on the defense, landing third on the team in steals per game with one.
