Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team as the spotlight turns to senior forward David Robinson.
Robinson was fifth on the team in scoring with 10.2 points per game this season.
The Lightning forward did not have a problem finding the basket this season, recording double-digits in 14 games. He also netted two games where he posted over 20 points.
One of Robinson’s highlight performances came on January 22nd in a 9-84 victory over Georgian Court, where he posted a season-high 22 points. The Goldey-Beacom senior made nine of his 13 shots and knocked down four of eight free throws.
Another good shooting night for Robinson came on January 11th versus Dominican (N.Y.), where he had 15 points. He made four of his five shots and hit seven of ten free throws. The Philly native also recorded a double-double that night by collecting 11 rebounds.
Scoring isn’t the only way the Lightning forward found his way on the stat sheet, as Robinson collected rebounds consistently for his team this season. He recorded four double-doubles and posted double-digits in rebounds six times this year.
He was locked on the boards all season, leading the team in rebounds per game with 7.9.
Robinson averaged 11 points per game, 7.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 27 games.
