The Goldey-Beacom College baseball team swept the Lincoln University (PA) Lions on Saturday with a 10-9 win in the first game and a 12-1 victory in the second.

Goldey-Beacom leads by three runs at the end of the fourth inning.
Lincoln would light up the scoreboard first in this game by pushing home a run on a fielding error to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the opening inning.
Senior infielder Braden Kolmansberger would tie the game up at one in the bottom of the inning when he pushed home a run on a Sac Fly.
The Lightning would take the lead (2-1) in the bottom of the third inning when Senior outfielder Christian Petrillo scored on a wild pitch.
Fast forward to the fourth inning, where the Lightning would expand their advantage when Sophomore infielder Bobby Stewart and Junior outfielder Anthony Charles each hit an RBI single to give their squad a 4-1 lead.
The Lightning leads by one after the sixth inning.
The Lions would charge back in the top of the fifth when they scored four runs on four hits and one error to take the lead at 5-4.
Goldey-Beacom tied the game at five in the bottom of the inning when Senior outfielder Matt Benner scored on a throwing error.
Senior infielder Jaden Dickerson gave GBC the lead (6-5) in the sixth inning when he pushed home a run with a Sac Fly.
GBC leads by two runs at the end of the eighth inning.
Lincoln would grab the lead in the top of the eighth with a three-run homer to left field to take the score to 8-6.
Goldey-Beacom answered back in the bottom of the inning scoring two runs on wild pitches and another on a RBI single to regain a 10-8 advantage.
Goldey-Beacom takes home a 10-9 win!
The Lions scored a run in the top of the ninth, but it wouldn’t be enough, as the Lightning hung on to win 10-9.
Pitching recap:
Goldey-Beacom used four pitchers in the game, which included junior pitcher Kevin Dillon who went 1.1 innings, gave up one run, one earned run, two walks, struck out two, and earned the win.
Senior pitcher Gage Bendix went 0.1 innings, gave up one hit, and earned the save.

Goldey-Beacom leads by six runs at the end of the third inning.
The Lightning would take the lead first (1-0) in this game when Jaden Dickerson hit an RBI single to the shortstop.
In the bottom of the second inning, GBC pushed their lead to three runs, when senior catcher Nick Harkins scored on a wild pitch and Christian Petrillo pushed home a run when he grounded out to the shortstop.
Harkins would make some noise in the third inning when slapped a two-run single to center field to give the team a 5-0 edge.
Two plays later, Matt Benner pushed his team’s advantage to six, when he hit a RBI double down the left-field line.
The Lightning lead by nine runs at the end of the fourth inning.
Lincoln would score their first run of the game in the top of the fourth with a solo home run to slice the deficit to 6-1.
Goldey-Beacom pushed their lead to nine runs (10-1) in the bottom of the fourth inning with an RBI single from Bobby Stewart, a two-run single from Senior infielder Dante DiSabatino, and Stewart scored on a throwing error.
Goldey-Beacom takes home a 12-1 win!
The Lightning scored two more runs in the sixth inning to seal a 12-1 victory over the Lions.
Pitching Recap:
Senior pitcher Mikey Hawbaker went six innings, gave up three hits, one run, one earned run, struck out nine, hit one batter, and earned the win.
