Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the Wilmington University women’s basketball team as the spotlight turns to Redshirt sophomore forward Emma Brown.
Brown was third on the team in scoring with 6.4 points per game this season.
The WilmU forward knew how to find the basket this season, recording double-digits in five games.
Brown’s game-high in points this season was 14, which she hit twice. The Delaware native would hit the total for the first time on December 11th versus Cheyney. She would make five of her ten shots and hit four of her six free throw attempts.
Fast forward to February 12th, when Brown scored 14 points versus Jefferson. The Wilmington redshirt sophomore made six of her nine shots and nailed two free throws.
Scoring wasn’t the only skill Brown showcased this season, as she recorded double-digit rebounds in four games. Her game-high in rebounds was 13, which came versus Caldwell on February 25th.
Brown was second on the team in rebounding, with six rebounds per game this season.
The WilmU forward also made her presence known on the defense by being second on the team in steals and third in blocks. The redshirt sophomore recorded 0.9 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.
Brown averaged 6.4 points per game, six rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 28 games.
