Season Review: Wilmington University’s Jasmine McDuffie

Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the Wilmington University women’s basketball team as the spotlight turns to Graduate student forward Jasmine McDuffie.

McDuffie led the team in scoring with 11.4 points per game this season.

When Wilmington needed a bucket, McDuffie was the one they called on, as she recorded double digits in points in 19 games. She posted over 20 points in one game this season.

The Graduate student’s game-high in points this season came on November 18th versus West Chester, where she posted 27 points. She made ten of her 16 shots, drained five of ten three-pointer tries, and hit two out of three shots from the free-throw line.

It wasn’t just shooting that opposing teams had to worry about with McDuffie, as she was locked on the boards all year by leading the team with 6.3.

The New Jersey native recorded double-digits in rebounds in three games this season. One of her best rebounding games was on the November 13th matchup versus Lincoln (Pa.), where she gobbled up the ball 13 times.

McDuffie also made her mark on defense by leading the team in blocks and steals this year. The Wildcat forward recorded 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks per game this season.

The Graduate student forward averaged 11.4 points per game, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 28 games.
