Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the Wilmington University men’s basketball team, as the spotlight turns to Graduate student guard Manir Waller.
Waller was fourth on the team in scoring with 11.2 points per game this season.
The Pennsylvania native was on the scorecard a lot this season, recording double digits in points in 18 games. He also netted two games where he posted over 20 points.
The Graduate student guard’s game-high in points this season came on March 1st in a 98-83 win over Goldey-Beacom, where he recorded 23 points. He made eight of his 13 shots and drained three of six tries from the three-point line, and three of five shots from the free-throw line.
One of his best shooting performances of the season came on December 3rd in a 92-71 win over Georgian Court, where Waller made six of his seven shots and all two shots at the free-throw line.
Making buckets isn’t the only skill the WilmU guard possesses, as he collected those rebounds on the regular for the team, recording three double-doubles on the season.
Waller was locked on the boards all season, leading the team in rebounds per game with 6.6.
The Graduate student guard averaged 11.2 points per game, 6.6 rebounds, and three assists per game in 29 games.
