Our 2024-2025 season player review series continues with the Wilmington University men’s basketball team, as the spotlight turns to freshman guard Jaylin Horsey.

Horsey was second on the team in scoring with 12.9 points per game this season.

The Wilmington, Delaware native might have been a freshman, but he didn’t play like one, recording double-digits in points in 16 games. Horsey also posted five games where he scored over 20 points.

The freshman guard’s game-high in points this season was 27, which came in a 92-71 win over Georgian Court on December 3rd. He made eight of his 14 shots, drained seven of his 11 tries from the three-point line, and made four of his six shots from the free-throw line.

One of Horsey’s best shooting nights came on December 7th versus Goldey-Beacom, where he posted 19 points. The Wildcats guard made four of his five shots, all three of his shots from the three-point line, and hit eight of his nine shots from the free-throw line in the loss.

Horsey averaged 12.9 points per game, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 25 games.
