The Wilmington University baseball team earned their seventh win of the season on Friday, with a 15-4 victory over the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks.

Wilmington University leads by four runs at the end of the first inning.
The Wildcats’ bats were hot early in this game. The team scored four runs on four hits to take a 4-0 edge in the opening inning.
Sophomore pitcher/first baseman Chase Fleming started the scoring in the inning with an RBI double to right center.
Senior infielder Tristan Schoendienst stepped up to the plate next and slapped a two-run single to right field. On the next play, Schoendienst stole second and Fleming stole home.
Two plays later, Redshirt junior outfielder Cam Trego was caught stealing second after getting on base with a walk, but Schoendienst scored during that time to give his team a 4-0 advantage.
The Wildcats lead by six runs at the end of the fourth inning.
Indiana (Pa.) would get their first run on the board in the top of the second inning with a solo homer to left field to slice the deficit to 4-1.
Two innings later, Wilmington’s bats would power up once again with three runs scoring on three hits to push their lead to 7-1.
Cam Trego started the inning off with a lead-off solo home run to right field which took the score to 5-1.
Four plays later, senior infielder Nick Classie pushed in a run with a bunt single.
Sophomore outfielder/pitcher Brandon Grygo would score the last run of the inning (7-1) with a Sac Fly.
WilmU leads by seven runs at the end of the sixth inning.
The Crimson Hawks added two more runs to their total in the top of the fifth inning by scoring on a passed ball and a sacrifice fly to close the gap to 7-3.
The Wildcats’ edge expanded to 10-3 an inning later, with singles from Brandon Grygo and Graduate student infielder Josearmando Diaz. Plus, Nick Classie scored from a fielding error.
Wilmington University takes home a 15-4 win!
Fast forward to the bottom of the eighth inning, where the Cats’ bats would still have some fire to them scoring five runs on two hits and one error to extend their advantage to 15-3.
Senior outfielder Sean Glatts pushed in a run in the inning when he reached first base on a fielding error by the Crimson Hawks shortstop.
On the next play, Josearmando Diaz collected his fifth RBI of the day by slugging a four-run homer to right field to give his team a 15-3 lead.
Indiana (Pa.) scored a run in the ninth inning, but WilmU still walked away with a dominating 15-4 victory.

Wilmington University used three pitchers in the game, which included sophomore pitcher/infielder Xavier Cortez, who went seven innings, gave up four hits, gave up three runs, two earned runs, two walks, struck out ten hitters, gave up one home run, and earned the win.
