The Wilmington University baseball team earned a walk-off win on Sunday with a 4-3 victory over the D’Youville University Saints.

Wilmington University trails by two runs at the end of the third inning.
D’Youville would light up the board first in this matchup by pushing in a run with a Sac Fly in the top of the first inning to give them a 1-0 edge.
Two innings later, the Saints added another run to their lead with an RBI single, giving their squad a 2-0 advantage.
The Wildcats tied the game up at two runs at the end of the seventh inning.
Fast forward to the bottom of the sixth inning, where WilmU would finally get a runner home as sophomore Shortstop/pitcher Garrett Quinn hit an RBI single to left field to cut the deficit to 2-1.
In the next inning, Graduate student infielder Josearmando Diaz smacked a two-out RBI double to right center to tie the game up at two.
Wilmington University takes home a 4-3 victory!
D’Youville regained the lead in the top of the ninth with a two-out RBI double to center field to take the score to 3-2.
It was all down to the bottom of the ninth for the Cats, and the team started the inning with a single and a batter reaching base on a fielder’s choice.
Then, Josearmando Diaz was intentionally walked and the next two batters would pop out and strike out.
Garrett Quinn stepped up to the plate next and slapped a walk-off two-RBI single to center field to give his team a 4-3 victory.

The Wildcats had five pitchers in the game, which started with junior pitcher Steve Schenning, who went five innings, gave up three hits, two runs, two earned runs, one walk, and three strikeouts.
Graduate student pitcher Liam Loging capped the game off by going one inning, giving up one hit, one earned run, one run, one walk, striking one batter out, and earning the win.
