The Wilmington University baseball team earned a 13-2 victory over the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans on Saturday.

Wilmington University leads by five runs after two innings.
The Wildcats would get on the board first in this game when freshman pitcher/outfielder Zach Frame stole second, and Senior outfielder Kory Pritchard stole third and then scored on the throw to give his team a 1-0 edge.
WilmU would score four runs on four hits in the next inning to give their team a 5-0 advantage.
Senior infielder Tristan Schoendienst and Pritchard would each bat an RBI single in the second inning.
Senior outfielder/pitcher Brandon Grygo slapped a two-run triple in the inning.
The Wildcats lead by four runs at the end of the fourth inning.
In the third inning, WilmU added to their lead (6-0) when Graduate student infielder Josearmando Diaz scored on a wild pitch.
The Spartans would score their first run of the game in the bottom of the inning with an RBI double to cut the deficit to 6-1.
St. Thomas Aquinas sliced the deficit to four runs (6-2) in the bottom of the fourth inning with an RBI Sac Fly.
Wilmington University takes home a 13-2 victory!
Shortstop/pitcher Garrett Quinn pushed the Wildcats’ advantage to five runs (7-2) in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single.
Fast forward to the ninth inning, where WilmU scored six runs on four hits and two errors to take home a 13-2 victory.
Pitching Recap:
Redshirt sophomore pitcher Tyler Reinert went four innings, six hits, two runs, two earned runs, two walks, and struck out one batter.
Brandon Grygo went five innings, gave up three hits, two walks, struck out four batters, and earned the win.
