The Goldey-Beacom College softball extended their winning streak to four games on Sunday with a two-game sweep (5-4 & 1-0) over the Bloomsburg Huskies.

Goldey-Beacom takes home a 1-0 win!
In the first game, there was not much scoring and the only run of the match came from the Lightning in the bottom of the opening inning.
The inning started with Senior utility player Ariana Mirenda hitting a lead-off triple to center.
Two plays later, Senior infielder Bryn Bohmann would push in Mirenda with a ground out to second base to give their team a 1-0 lead.
Pitching Recap:
Senior pitcher Caitlyn Burch had all the right stuff in this game by pitching seven innings, gave up three hits, striking out five batters, and earning the win.
Game Recap GM2:
Goldey-Beacom trails by two runs at the end of the third inning.
It would take until the top of the third inning to see any runs in this matchup, and Bloomsburg would be the first team to light up the scoreboard with back-to-back RBI doubles to give the team a 2-0 lead.
The game would be tied at four runs at the end of the fourth inning.
The Huskies would add two more runs to their lead (4-0) in the top of the fourth with a two-run single.
In the first three innings, the Lightning had six hits, but just could not get those baserunners home, but that would change in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Goldey-Beacom would score four runs on five hits to tie the game up at four.
The inning started with two singles and then Ariana Mirenda blasted a two-run triple to right center to cut the score to 4-2.
Bryn Bohmann came up to the plate next and hit an RBI double to left field to pull the score to 4-3.
Junior infielder Autumn Simpson continued the scoring party by hitting an RBI single to right field to tie the game up at four.
The Lightning takes home a 5-4 win!
Fast forward to the bottom of the eighth inning, where GBC started it with a single and then a foul out. Then, another baserunner came on with a single, and, then the next batter flew out.
Autumn Simpson would be the next at the plate, where she reached on a fielder’s choice and runners would advance on an error.
Senior infielder Alex Lowry ended the game with a walk-off RBI single to give Goldey a 5-4 win!
Pitching Recap:
Senior pitcher Morgan McLane went three innings, gave up four hits, two runs, and two earned runs.
Senior pitcher Wynter Radcliffe went one inning, two hits, two runs, and one walk.
Caitlyn Burch went four innings, gave up three hits, two strikeouts, and earned the win.
