The University of Delaware men’s basketball team moved their record to 12-13 on the season with a 74-64 victory over William & Mary Tribe on Saturday.
Junior guard Cavan Reilly led the team in scoring in the win with 18 points.
Sophomore guard Trent Middleton Jr. recorded a double-double in the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Two other Hens players scored in double digits: freshman guard Izaiah Pasha (13) and Senior forward John Camden (17).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (30-22), points off of turnovers (14-11), assists (12-10), and rebounds (41-35).
UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team boasting 46.6(27-58) and William & Mary 33.3 (20-60). The Blue Hens also bested the Tribe from the three-point line, with the team shooting 30.8( 8-26) and W&M shooting 29.0(9-31). Delaware also outshot William & Mary at the free-throw line, with the team shooting 80.0(12-15), and the Tribe 62.5(15-24).

Blue Hens lead by 13 at the end of the first half.
UD had no trouble finding the basket in the early minutes of the opening period by taking a 14-9 edge with 13:25 remaining in the first half. Trent Middleton Jr. and Izaiah Pasha each drained a three-pointer during this run.
William & Mary answered back by outscoring the Hens 9-4 to tie the game at 18 with 9:50 left in the opening period.
The University of Delaware slugged back by scoring 12 straight points to grab a 30-12 advantage with 5:21 left in the first half. Cavan Reilly, senior guard Niels Lane, and John Camden had the hot hand during this time scoring ten of the 12 points.
Delaware added 12 more points to their score for the rest of the opening period to take a 43-30 lead into halftime. The Hens made three shots from the three-point line during this time, which came from Camden, Reilly, and freshman forward Macon Emory.
Delaware takes home a 74-64 victory!
The Tribe came out in the early minutes of the second half with a new pep in the step, as they went on a 10-2 run to slice the deficit to five points (45-40) with 16:19 left in the game.
Fast forward to the 9:32 minute mark, where William & Mary continued to have momentum with Caleb Dorsey sinking a three-pointer to give his team a one-point edge (57-56).
Seconds later, the Blue Hens would find their groove again by outscoring the Tribe 18-7 to seal a 74-64 victory. Cavan Reilly and John Camden led the way for UD by scoring 11 of the 18 points.
