The Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team earns their sixth victory of the season by defeating the Felician University Golden Falcons 78-66 on Saturday.
Sophomore guard Katie Yoder led the team with 18 points in the win.
Three other Goldey-Beacom players who scored in double digits in the win were junior guard Rory Ciszkowski (17), Senior guard Julie Kulesza (13), and sophomore guard Genesis Garcia (10).
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (23-4), assists (16-13), and blocks (2-0).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 50.0%(23-46) and Felician shooting 39.4% (28-71). GBC bested the Golden Falcons at the three-point line as the team shot 42.3% (11-26) and Felician 0.0%(0-8). Lightning was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 72.4%(21-29), and the Golden Falcons shot 62.5%(10-16).

The game all tied at 12 at the end of the first quarter.
Felician started off the game by taking a 6-3 lead over Goldey-Beacom with 7:34 left in the opening period.
The Lightning would respond by outscoring the Golden Falcons 9-6 to end the first quarter with the score tied at 12.
Goldey-Beacom leads by two at the end of the first half.
GBC would start the second quarter off by outscoring Felician 16-10 to take a six-point lead (28-22) with 4:39 left in the first half. The Lightning drained four shots from the three-point line during this time, with Katie Yoder hitting two.
The Golden Falcons would end the first half on a good note by dashing off on a 6-2 run to slice the deficit to two points (30-28).
The Lightning leads by five points at the end of the third quarter.
Julie Kulesza did a little of everything in the first two minutes and 66 seconds in the second half, as she collected a rebound, had a steal, and drained a three-pointer to help Goldey take a 35-29 edge with 7:34 remaining in the third.
Felician would punch back by going on a 12-6 run to tie the game up at 41 with 3:46 remaining in the third quarter.
Goldey-Beacom would end the third on a high note by outscoring the Golden Falcons 9-4 to take a 50-35 lead into the fourth quarter. The team drained two shots from the three-point line during this run.

Fast forward to the 3:49 minute mark, Rory Ciszkowski sunk a jump shot to give the Lightning a 13-point advantage (66-53).
GBC would add 12 more points to their lead in the fourth to seal a 78-66 victory over Felician.
