The University of Delaware men’s basketball team moved their record to 9-7 on the season with a 98-88 victory over North Carolina A&T Aggies on Thursday.
Freshman Izaiah Pasha led the Hens in scoring in the win with 22 points.
Senior forward John Camden recorded a double-double in the game with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Three other Hens players scored in double digits: Junior guard Cavan Reilly (18), senior guard Niels Lane (13), and Freshman forward Macon Emory (12).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (50-46), fast-break points (26-16), blocks (4-3), assists (20-17), and rebounds (44-33).
UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team boasting 55.6 (35-63) and North Carolina A&T45.1(32-71). The Blue Hens also bested the A&T from the three-point line, with the team shooting 42.1(8-19) and NC A&T shooting 27.3(6-22). Delaware also outshot the Aggies at the free-throw line, with the team shooting 80.0(20-25), and North Carolina A&T 64.3(18-28).

The Blue Hens led by six points at the end of the first half.
North Carolina A&T started this game on a fast pace by taking a 5-2 edge with 18:24 remaining in the opening period.
UD would respond back by flying off on a 10-2 run to grab a 12-7 advantage with 16:12 left in the first half. Senior guard Erik Timko and Cavan Reilly each drained a three-pointer during this time.
Three minutes and 85 seconds later, the Aggies would take a one-point lead (19-18) when Jahnathan Lamothe sunk a three-point shot.
In the next eight minutes and two seconds, the Hens would start to find their shot, as they outscored A&T 26-12 to grab a 44-31 edge with 4:16 remaining in the opening period. Freshman forward Macon Emory and senior guard Niels Lane had the hot hand during this run, scoring 14 of the team’s 26 points.
North Carolina A&T would end the first half on a good note by going on a 10-3 run to slice the deficit to six points (47-41).
UD takes home a 98-88 victory!
The Aggies brought the momentum they had in the late first period in the early minutes of the second half, as the team cut the deficit to two points (51-49) with 16:52 left in the game.
A&T would continue to hang around in the minutes following that but Delaware would start to pull away around the 8:57 minute mark when the team went on a 9-0 run to take a 79-64 edge with 5:51 remaining in the game.
Fast forward to the 2:01 minute mark, where the Blue Hens took a 20-point lead when Izaiah Pasha hit a layup.
The Blue Hens were outscored 17-7 in the final two minutes of the game, but still take home a convincing 98-88 victory over the NC A&T.
