Georgian Court roared back in the game by scoring seven straight points to take a 9-7 advantage with 4:57 left in the opening period.

DSU continued to have momentum on their side in the early minutes of the second quarter, as the team scored ten straight points to extend their edge to 24-9 with 6:06 remaining in the half. Mahogany Cottingham and Najah Lane were hot during this run, as the duo scored all ten of the team’s points.
In the remaining minutes of the first half, Kyra Lawrence led the Hornets’ offense, scoring six of the team’s ten points to give them a 34-20 advantage at halftime.
DSU leads by 18 at the end of the third quarter.
It was the Kyra Lawrence and Ericka Huggins show in the third quarter, as the duo scored 13 of Delaware State’s 17 points in the period to expand their lead to 51-33 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Hornets continued to solidify their comfortable lead even more in the fourth quarter, as they outscored the Lions 20-11 to take a 71-44 victory.
Mahogany Cottingham and Kiarra Mcelrath gave the Georgian Court defense problems during this time, scoring 12 of the team’s 20 points.
