Two second half goals lift Goldey-Beacom to a 2-1 victory over Dominican (N.Y.)

The Goldey-Beacom men’s soccer team earned their fourth victory of the season on Saturday with a 2-1 win versus the Dominican University New York Chargers.

Goldey-Beacom trails by one at the end of the first half.

Dominican would light up the scoreboard first in the opening half of this match, as Armando Morales made his penalty kick to give his team a 1-0 lead.

The Lightning takes home a 2-1 win!

GBC would tie the game up at one around the 75-minute mark when senior defender Colby Niggebrugge found his teammate freshman midfielder  Sam Ball, who would knock in it for the score.

In the late minutes of the second half, it would be Niggebrugge’s turn to get a goal in, and Ball would assist on the score to seal a 2-1 victory over the Chargers.
