Wilmington University earns fourth victory with a 2-0 win over Post

The Wilmington University women’s soccer team earned their fourth victory of the season on Saturday with a 2-0 win over the Post University Eagles.

Wilmington University leads by one goal at the end of the first half.

The Wildcats would strike first in this game as senior midfielder  Julia Yuhase would find her teammate Graduate forward Jordan Siok, who rocketed the ball in for a score to give her team a 1-0 lead near the 25-minute mark.

The Wildcats take home a 2-0 victory!

Wilmington would add to their lead in the early minutes of the second half when redshirt sophomore defender Maria Leguizamon scored a goal to seal a 2-0 win over Post.

The standouts in the game for the Wildcats were Jordan Siok, Julia Yuhase, Maria Leguizamo, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Isabella Mazzone, senior goalkeeper Mio Nakajima, and sophomore goalkeeper Arianna Myers.

Siok had five shots, four shots at the goal, and scored one goal in the win.

Yuhase had one assist in the victory.

Mazzone allowed zero goals in 19 minutes and 32 seconds in the game.

Nakajima allowed zero goals in 25 minutes and 28 seconds in the win.

Myers allowed one goal in 45 minutes and had two saves in the game.
