The Goldey-Beacom men’s soccer team earned their second victory of the season on Saturday versus the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights.

It was all defense in the first half, as neither team lit up the scoreboard.
Goldey-Beacom would change the silence on the scoreboard in the second half, as freshman midfielder Ogün Ünal found his teammate freshman midfielder Sam Ball, who blasted the ball in for a score to give their team a 1-0 lead near the 60-minute mark.
In the later minutes of the second half, Ünal would set up another teammate for a score, as junior forward Emanuel Bustos would find the net to seal a 2-0 win for the Lightning.
