The Wilmington University women’s soccer team earned their second victory of the season with a 1-0 win over the  Saint Anselm College Hawks.

WSOC (FT) | #WilmUWSoccer 1 – Saint Anselm 0. WU now 2-2. Sharon Freire Omonigho the lone goal, her first of the season, in the 40th minute. Arianna Myers with 5 svs in 1st half. Mio Nakajima with 2 svs in 2nd half. Shots were 17-3 and 6-2 in corners in favor of St. Anselm.

The only score of this game would come in the late minutes of the first half when sophomore midfielder/defender Sharon Freire Omonigho blasted the ball in for a goal in the 40th minute, which ended up carrying the Wildcats to a 1-0 win.
