After North Carolina A&T’s offense stumbled off the field in six plays, Delaware’s offense would continue to stay hot in particular the rushing attack.
UD had a tough task on their possession by starting at their own 11-yard line but the team marched 89 yards in nine plays to end with running back Jo’Nathan Silver pushing the ball in for a one-yard score to extend the Hens edge to 12-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Blue Hens could not convert a two-point play after the touchdown.
Silver accounted for 36 yards on the possession, which included a 12-yard catch to set his team up at the Aggies one-yard line.
Another highlight on the touchdown drive came on first and ten on NC A&T’s 49-yard line where quarterback Ryan O’Connor found his tight end Caleb Fauria for a 36-yard reception.

North Carolina A&T would punch points on the scoreboard in the early minutes of the second quarter, as the team cruised 51 yards in ten plays to end with Andrew Brown booting a 42-yard field goal to slice the deficit to 12-3 with 13:44 remaining in the first half.
Delaware had two costly penalties on this possession, the first was a 15-yard personal foul call and the other was five yards for offsides.
UD’s offense would answer back by ending a third straight drive with a running back scoring a touchdown.
The Blue Hens would start at their own 25-yard line and fly 75 yards to end with running back Quincy Watson pounding the ball in for a one-yard score to expand the team’s advantage to 18-3 with 11:34 left in the second quarter. Nate Reed’s extra point was blocked on the next play.
Fast forward to the 4:33 minute mark, where Delaware would have the ball once again, but this time it would not end in a score for the team.
The Hens drive would end in two plays as Ryan O’Connor’s pass would be intercepted by Aggies Aaron Harris and taken back for a 70-yard score to cut the deficit to 18-10 with 3:44 remaining in the first half.
Delaware’s offense would respond by driving 51 yards in ten plays to end with kicker Nate Reed hitting a 41-yard field goal to push their edge to 21-10 with 43 seconds left in the second quarter.
The highlight play on this possession came on third and 22 at their own 13-yard line when O’Connor found wide receiver Phil Lutz for a 35-yard catch.
North Carolina A&T would make some magic in the last seconds of the first half, as the team went 50 yards in five plays to end with kicker Andrew Brown making a 42-yard field goal to slice the score to 21-13 at the end of the first half.
The Aggies Kevin White accounted for all 50 yards on the scoring possession as he threw for 42 and ran for eight.
UD would lead by 22 points at the end of the third quarter.
The Blue Hens’ opening drive of the second half would end with a similar theme for the team in first with a rushing touchdown, but this time it wasn’t from a running back.
Delaware’s offense would march 63 yards in ten plays to end with quarterback Ryan O’Connor rushing for 23 yards for the touchdown to give his team a 28-13 lead with 9:16 remaining in the third.
After the Aggies ended their possession with a punt, UD would take the ball over at their own 12-yard line.
The Hens would continue to pound the ball on the ground as this 88-yard, 12-play drive would end with Quincy Watson rushing for his second touchdown of the day to push his team’s advantage to 35-13 at the end of the third quarter.

Fast forward to the 9:01 minute mark of the fourth quarter where North Carolina A&T would have the ball but not for long, as on their first play the ball would be UD’s Marc Viechec at the Aggies 47-yard line.
Delaware would not waste that turnover, as Ryan O’Connor would Phil Lutz for a 47-yard touchdown reception to seal a 42-13 win over NC A&T.
