The Goldey-Beacom College baseball team opened the NCAA Tournament with a 6-0 win over the Post University Eagles on Thursday. The Lightning will now face Molloy on Friday at 2pm ET.

Goldey-Beacom leads by two runs at the end of the first inning.
The Lightning would strike first in this NCAA regional matchup as Senior infielder Darin Miller slugged a two-run homer to center field to give his team a 2-0 edge in the top of the opening inning.
The Lightning takes home a 6-0 victory!
Fast forward to the top of the eighth inning, where Darin Miller would record his third RBI of the day with a double to left center to push GBC’s lead to 3-0.
Goldey-Beacom would add three more runs in the ninth inning when junior catcher Adam McEvoy knocked an RBI single to right center, and then junior outfielder Christian Petrillo followed that score up with a two-run double to give their team a 6-0 edge.
Pitching Recap:
Sophomore starting pitcher Nate Miller took care of the Post hitters in this victory, as he went seven innings, gave up three hits, three walks, and struck out five batters.
