The Goldey-Beacom College softball team would earn a split on Wednesday over the Felician University Golden Falcons as the team won the first game 2-1 and lost the second 10-6.

The two teams would be locked at one run tie after the first inning.
Goldey-Beacom would strike first in this game, as Sophomore infielder Autumn Simpson knocked an RBI single up the middle to give her team a 1-0 lead in the top of the opening inning.
Felician would answer back in the bottom of the inning when Alexis Velotta slapped an RBI double to left-center to tie the game at one.
Goldey-Beacom takes home a 2-1 victory!
The Lightning would regain the lead (2-1) in the top of the second inning when Sophomore pitcher Alesia Doctor would score on a throwing error from the Golden Falcons shortstop.
Pitching Recap:
Senior starting pitcher Abigail O’Shields went seven innings, gave up three hits, one run, one earned run, four walks, and struck out eight batters in a win.
