The Wilmington University softball picked up two wins on Tuesday as the team swept the Jefferson University Rams 7-1 (Game One) and 5-2 (Game Two).

Wilmington takes a three-run lead at the end of the third inning.
The Wildcats would strike first in this game, as Senior outfielder Sara Miller scored on a throwing error in the second inning to give the team a 1-0 edge.
WilmU would add two more runs to their advantage in the next inning when senior infielder Lexi Moore went home from an error by Jefferson’s shortstop, and three plays later, junior outfielder Gabriella Saucedo knocked an RBI single through the left side to give their team a 3-0 lead.
WilmU takes a six-run lead in the fourth inning.
Wilmington would keep pouring on the runs in the fourth, as the team scored three runs on two hits to take a 6-0 edge.
Two of the three runs in the inning were from Sac bunts, which Lexi Moore and junior outfielder Tristyn Stewart each had.
Gabriella Saucedo also had pushed a run in the fourth with a Sac fly to center field.
Wilmington University takes home a 7-1 win!
WilmU would add one last run in the top of the fifth inning, where Graduate student infielder Sam Freeland slapped an RBI single through the right field.
The Rams would score their first run of the game in the bottom of the seventh, but the Wildcats would still take home a 7-1 win.
Pitching Recap:
Senior starting pitcher Haley Downin went seven innings, gave up seven hits, one run, one earned run, and one walk, and struck out four batters in a victory.
