The Wilmington University baseball team picked up two wins on Saturday as the team swept the Chestnut Hill College Griffins 7-4 (Game One) and 12-9 (Game Two).

Wilmington would trail by one run at the end of the second inning.
The Wildcats would strike first in this game, as junior outfielder Kory Pritchard would push in a run when he grounded out in the top of the opening inning to give his team a 1-0 edge.
Chestnut Hill would answer back in the bottom of the inning, as Michael Pascoe would get a run in with a Sac Fly to tie the game at one.
The Griffins would grab the lead in the bottom of the second inning when Shawn Levan knocked an RBI single to right field to give his team a 2-1 advantage.
WilmU ties the game up at two at the end of the third inning.
Wilmington would not trail for long, as Kory Pritchard would get his second RBI of the game when he grounded out to the shortstop, which allowed a baserunner to score and tie the match at two.
The Wildcats take a one-run lead at the end of the sixth inning.
Three innings later, WilmU would grab back the lead, as Senior shortstop Matt Warrington would push in a run with a Sac Fly to push the score to 3-2.
Wilmington University takes home a 7-4 win!
Two innings later, the Wildcats would expand their advantage, as the team scored two runs on two hits, and one error to take a 5-2 edge.
The first run of the inning came when junior outfielder AJ Tropiano reached first base on a fielding error, which allowed Kory Pritchard to score to extend the lead to 4-2.
Two plays later, a double steal would commence with Matt Warrington stealing second base and AJ Tropiano stole home to give the Cats a 5-2 advantage.
WilmU would add two more runs in the top of the ninth inning with sophomore infielder Tyler Pirrung and Senior catcher Jack McDonald each batting in a RBI single to give their team a 7-2 lead.
Chestnut Hill would push in two runs in the bottom of the inning, but it would not be enough, as the Wildcats would still take home a 7-4 victory.
Pitching Recap:
Graduate student starting pitcher Derek Huff went eight innings, gave up seven hits, two runs, one earned run, and struck out six batters in a victory.
Junior pitcher Alex Krick closed out the game, as he went one inning, gave up one hit, two runs, one earned run, one walk, and struck one batter.
