18 wins in a row!: Wilmington University remains hot with a sweep of Goldey-Beacom

Wilmington University leads by six runs at the end of the first inning.

The Wildcats started the top of the first inning with a bang, as the team scored six runs on five hits to take a 6-0 edge.

It would all start when Taylor Gillis came to the plate with the bases loaded, and she would slap a three-run double to left center to give her team a 3-0 lead.

Four plays later, junior infielder Eve Serrato knocked a two-run double to left field to push the score a 5-0.

Tristyn Stewart would push the last run in the inning, as she hit an RBI single up the middle to take the score 6-0.

WilmU leads by eight runs at the end of the third inning.

The Wildcats would widen their lead even further in the top of the second, as graduate student infielder Sam Freeland would smack an RBI double down the left field line to give her team a 7-0 advantage.

In the third inning, Wilmington would add another run when Senior shortstop Lexi Moore hit an RBI single up the middle to take the score to 8-0.

Wilmington University takes home a 9-1 win!

Goldey-Beacom would cut into the deficit a little in the bottom of the fourth inning when Bryn Bohmann slapped a solo home run to right field to take the score to 8-1.

WilmU would add one last run in the top of the sixth inning when senior outfielder Isabella Eleazar hit an RBI double to right center to extend the lead to 9-1.
