Wilmington University trails by four runs at the end of the second inning.
After neither team could get a run across the plate in the first, it would be a different story in the second inning, as Holy Family would score four runs on four hits and one error to take a 4-0 lead.
One of the scoring highlights for the Tigers was when Rylee Hobel slapped a two-run triple down the right-field line.

Wilmington would trim Holy Family’s edge by two in the bottom of the third inning, as the team scored two runs on three hits and one error to slice the lead to 4-2.
Taylor Gillis would push in the first run of the inning for the Cats as she hit an RBI through the right side to cut the score to 4-1.
Two batters later, junior infielder Eve Serrato would push in a run when she grounded out to third base to take the score to 4-2.
The Wildcats would trail by four runs at the end of the fourth inning.
Holy Family would respond to WilmU’s score by pushing two runs of their own in the top of the fourth to push their advantage to 6-2.
Wilmington University ties the game at six at the end of the fifth inning.
The Wildcats would continue to claw back in this game as the team scored four runs on four hits to tie the game at six in the bottom of the fifth.
Junior outfielder Gabriella Saucedo started off the scoring in the inning, as she knocked a two-run triple down the right field line to slice the deficit to 6-4.
The next two runs of the inning that would tie the game came from junior catcher Emma Zimmerman’s RBI bunt single and Haley Downin’s RBI double.
Wilmington University takes home an 8-6 victory!
WilmU would continue to hold the momentum in this game, as Gabriella Saucedo slapped an RBI double to right center, and senior first baseman Julia Thuer hit an RBI single up the middle to give their team an 8-6 lead.

Redshirt sophomore starting pitcher Delani Sheehan went seven innings, gave up eight hits, six runs, four earned runs, two walks, struck out four walks, and earned the win.
