The Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team beat their in-state rival the Wilmington University Wildcats 92-55 on Saturday.
Sophomore guard Rory Ciszkowski led the team in scoring in the win with 20 points.
Three other Goldey-Beacom players who scored in double digits in the win were Senior forward Janiya Stevens (11), sophomore guard Karlee Lemon (12), and junior guard Julie McCarron (12).
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (24-14), fast-break points (10-7), bench points (34-4), rebounds (50-38), assists (22-5), and blocks (10-3).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 56.9%(33-58) and Wilmington shooting 26.0%(20-77). The Lightning also bested the Wildcats from the three-point line, with the team shooting 69.6%(16-23) and Wilmington shooting 23.1%(6-26).
