Late run helps Blue Hens earn a 73-67 victory over Northeastern

The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned the 18th win of the season on Thursday with a 73-67 victory over the Northeastern University Howlin Huskies.

Senior forward Jyáre Davis led the team in scoring in the win with 19 points.

 Two other Hens players who scored in double-digits were senior guard Niels Lane (16) and Graduate Student guard Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (11).

Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (14-10), fast-break points (13-2), bench points (12-10), rebounds (37-36), and assists (14-10).

UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 44.2 % (23-52) and Northeastern shooting 39.7 %(27-68). The Blue Hens also bested the Tigers from the three-point line, with the team shooting 31.6 %(6-19) and the Huskies shooting 25.0 % (5-20).
