Five Wilmington University players score in double digits in 95-61 victory over Georgian Court

The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their 15th win of the season on Wednesday as the team defeated the Georgian Court University Lions.

Senior guard Taalib Holloman led the team in scoring in the win with 25 points.

Four other Wilmington players who scored in double digits in the win were senior guard Lameen Carter (19), Graduate student Caleb Matthews (14), Senior guard Amiri Stewart (12), and sophomore guard Skip Burton (11).

WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (23-18), (16-6), points off of turnovers (19-10), assists (24-8), and blocks (5-2).

Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 50.0%(29-58) and Georgian Court shooting 37.7%(23-61). The Wildcats were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 45.7%(16-35), and the Lions shot 0%(0-15).WilmU also had the advantage at the free-throw line, as the team shot 80.8%(21-26), and the Georgian Court shot 78.9%(15-19).
