WilmU would be up one run after two innings.
Wilmington would respond in the top of the second inning by scoring two runs on one hit to grab a 2-1 edge.
Jack McDonald would start the second off by hitting a solo home run to right field to tie the game at one.
Four plays later, sophomore infielder Tyler Pirrung would score on a passed ball to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead.
The Wildcats lead by three after five innings.
Three innings later, junior first baseman Tristan Schoendienst would push another two runs through for WilmU when he hit a two-RBI single to center field to extend his team’s advantage 4-1.

Fast forward to the top of the seventh inning, where Jack McDonald would hit his second homer of the game as he sent a solo jack to left field to seal a 5-1 Wildcats victory.
