The Wilmington University men’s basketball team clinched a spot in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament on Tuesday with a 92-84 victory over the Holy Family University Tigers.
Senior guard Amiri Stewart led the team in scoring in the win with 22 points.
Two other Wilmington players who scored in double digits in the win were senior guard Taalib Holloman (20), and Graduate student Caleb Matthews (16).
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (22-20), points in the paint (38-32), second-chance points (19-5), assists (25-21), rebounds (42-33), and blocks (4-3).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 47.0%(31-66) and Holy Family shooting 45.2%(28-62).
