Gerald Drumgoole Jr. scores 23 points in Blue Hens 62-54 victory over North Carolina A&T

The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their 17th win of the season on Saturday with a 62-54 victory over the North Carolina A&T State University Aggies.

Graduate Student guard Gerald Drumgoole Jr. led the team in scoring in the win with 23 points.

Fifth-year guard Jalun Trent also scored in double digits in the victory, as he had ten points.

Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (32-22), fast-break points (8-4), bench points (16-8), and blocks (4-0).

UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 45.1 %( 23-51) and North Carolina A&T shooting 38.2 %(21-55).  Delaware was also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 21.7 %(5-23), and the Aggies shot 18.2 %(2-11).
