DSU would come out in the early minutes of the second half with renewed energy, as the team went on a 10-4 run to take a 40-39 edge with 15:58 left in the game.
Delaware State’s defense stepped up during that time, as the unit had three defensive rebounds, a steal, and a block. The Hornets also moved the ball around during that stretch, as the group had three assists.
DSU would continue to pour on the points for the rest of the second half, as they outscored the Eagles 26-16 to seal a 66-56 victory.
