Goldey-Beacom leads by six points at the end of the first quarter.

Fast forward to the 2:27 minute mark, where Post’s Naj White would hit a layup to cut the deficit to four points (16-12).
Goldey-Beacom would outscore the Eagles 8-2 for the rest of the first quarter to push their lead to 24-16. Ciszkowski did work on both sides of the ball during this time, as she had three points and two defensive rebounds.
The Lightning holds a seven-point lead at the end of the first half.
Post would fly out on an 11-5 run in the early minutes of the second quarter to slice the lead to two points (29-27) with 5:43 left in the first half.
GBC would outscore the Eagles 12-7 for the rest of the second quarter to head into halftime with a 41-37 edge. Rory Ciszkowski would continue her hot shooting, as she scored eight of the team’s 12 points during that time.
GBC would take a 12-point lead at the end of the third quarter.
The Lightning would strike fast in the early minutes of the second half, as the team dashed out to a 12-3 run to extend their advantage to 53-40 with 2:55 remaining in the third quarter. Janiya Stevens had the hot touch during this stretch, as she scored five of the team’s 12 points.
Goldey’s defense was solid during this time, as the unit collected seven defensive rebounds, three steals, and one block.
GBC would add nine more points to their score in the third to expand their lead to 62-50 heading into the fourth.
Goldey-Beacom takes home a 79-72 victory!
The Eagles would claw back into this game in the final quarter, as they outscored the Lightning 22-13 to slice the deficit to three points (75-72) with 38 seconds left in the match.
Janiya Stevens would close out the game for Goldey-Beacom by hitting four straight free throw shots to seal a 79-72 victory over Post.
