The Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team pushed their winning streak to three on Saturday with a 79-72 victory over the Post University Eagles.
Sophomore guard Rory Ciszkowski led the team in scoring in the win with 28 points. She also recorded a double-double in the game, as he collected ten rebounds with her 28 points.
Senior forward Janiya Stevens also scored in double-digits in the victory, as she had 23 points.
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (14-8), assists (16-13), and blocks (4-0).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 43.6% (25-44) and Post shooting 37.2% ( 29-78). The Lightning also bested the Eagles from the three-point line, with the team shooting 48.0 % (12-25) and Post shooting 36.0%(9-25). GBC also bested the Eagles from the free-throw line, with the team shooting 95.0% (19-20) and Post shooting 55.6%(5-9).
