The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earns their 13th win of the season with a 99-95 victory over the Dominican (N.Y.) University Chargers.
Senior guard Amiri Stewart led the team in scoring in the win with 31 points.
Three other Wilmington players who scored in double digits in the win were sophomore guard Skip Burton (13), senior guard Taalib Holloman (19), and Graduate student Caleb Matthews (10).
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included fast-break points (8-7), assists (19-16), rebounds (36-34), and blocks (3-0).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 58.7%(27-46) and Dominican shooting 40.7%(33-81). The Wildcats were also the better team at the three-point line in this game, as the team shot 33.3%(5-15), and the Chargers shot 24.3%(9-37).WilmU also had the advantage at the free-throw line, as the team shot 90.9%(40-44), and Dominican shot 71.4%(20-28).
