The Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team earned their fourth win of the season on Wednesday with an 80-72 victory over the Georgian Court University Lions.
Senior forward Janiya Stevens led the team in scoring in the win with 28 points.
Sophomore guard Rory Ciszkowski also scored in double-digits in the victory, as she scored 15 points.
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (17-12), blocks (6-1), and steals (15-6).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 56.8% (25-44) and Georgian Court shooting 39.4% ( 28-71). The Lightning also bested the Lions from the three-point line, with the team shooting 35.3% (6-17) and Georgian Court shooting 11.1%(1-9). GBC also bested the Lions from the free-throw line, with the team shooting 80.0% (24-30) and Georgian Court shooting 62.5%(15-24).
