The Blue Hens lead by one point at the end of the first half.
Delaware would start the game fast as the team would jump out to a 6-2 lead with 17:28 left in the opening half. Four of the six points during that stretch came from Christian Ray.
Fast forward to the 4:28 minute mark, where the Blue Hens Gerald Drumgoole Jr. would drain a three-point shot to give his team a 28-20 edge.
William & Mary would punch right back by outscoring UD 10-1 to grab a 30-29 advantage with 51 seconds left in the first half.
Jyáre Davis would score the last bucket of the opening half, which gave the University of Delaware a 31-30 lead at halftime.
UD takes home a 69-58 victory!
Delaware would dash out to an eight-point edge (48-40) in the early minutes of the second half by outscoring the Tribe 17-10. Jyáre Davis would score nine of the team’s 17 points during that time.
Fast forward to the 10:51 minute mark, where William & Mary’s Trey Moss would hit a jump shot to slice the deficit to four points (48-44).
That would be the closest the Tribe would ever come to closing the gap on the UD’s lead, as the Hens would outscore W&M 21-14 to seal a 69-58 victory. Niels Lane, Christian Ray, and Davis would score 17 of the team’s 21 points during that stretch.
