The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their 16th win of the season on Saturday with a 69-58 victory over the College of William & Mary The Tribe.
Senior forward Jyáre Davis led the team in scoring in the win with 21 points. He also recorded a double-double in the victory, collecting ten rebounds with his 21 points.
Fifth-year guard Christian Ray also recorded a double-double in the game, as he had 13 points and collected 15 rebounds. Ray also grabbed the 1,000th rebound of his career in this victory.
Two other Hens players who scored in double-digits were senior guard Niels Lane (16) and Graduate Student guard Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (11).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (44-32), points off of turnovers (12-5), second-chance points (21-15), fast-break points (8-0), bench points (2-0), rebounds (37-31), turnovers (6-12), and steals (6-3).
UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 43.3 %(26-60) and William & Mary shooting 39.3 %(22-56). Delaware was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 83.3 %(15-18), and the Tribe shot 80.0 %(8-10).
