The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their 15th win of Thursday with a 74-62 victory over the Towson University Tigers.
Graduate Student guard Gerald Drumgoole Jr. lead the Blue Hens in scoring in the win with 20 points.
Senior forward Jyáre Davis recorded a double-double in the game, collecting 15 rebounds with 15 points.
Two other Hens players who scored in double-digits were sophomore guard Cavan Reilly (12), and senior guard Niels Lane (11).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included rebounds (35-33), assists (15-10), and blocks (5-2).
UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 55.3 % (26-47) and Towson shooting 40.0 %(26-65). The Blue Hens also bested the Tigers from the three-point line, with the team shooting 57.9 %(11-19) and Towson shooting 23.5 % (4-17). Delaware was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 61.1 %(11-18), and the Tigers shot 54.5% (6-11).
